One of the famous Safari destinations in East Africa, Samburu National Reserve is located in Northern Kenya and is a premier game reserve situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river. This vast expanse of remote pristine wilderness measures 165 square kilometers in area and borders the Ewaso Ng'iro River to the south, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Samburu Reserve is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also home to a population of close to 900 Elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the famous Lioness that adapted a baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Samburu is infact one of the better locations in Kenya to spot Leopard. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area and Birdlife is abundant with over 450 recorded species.

Day 1:Nairobi to Samburu
- Depart from Nairobi to the great adventure in Samburu National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive) across the Equator.
- Arrive at the camp/lodge for lunch and check-in. Head out for an afternoon game drive to uncover the secrets of Samburu’s pristine wilderness, the magnificent view of the vegetation, and rare wildlife species such as the Grevy’s Zebra and the regal lions, rulers of the savannah, the reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich
- Return for dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge
Day 2:Samburu Game Drives
- Early morning breakfast followed by an exhilarating game drive in the park in search of the black-maned lion, leopards, lightning-fast cheetahs, and the formidable buffaloes till noon.
- Return to the lodge/camp for a sumptuous lunch and indulge in the lodge amenities.
- Late afternoon game drive till sunset.
- Evening dinner and overnight sleep at a lodge/camp.
Day 3:Samburu to the Pink Lake Nakuru
- Early morning breakfast and check out.
- Drive to L. Nakuru (approximately 5-6 hours), the home of the pink lesser & greater flamingos arriving for lunch at the budget hotel/lodge.
- Embark on an afternoon sightseeing adventure to behold the spectacular sight of flamingos painting the lake in vibrant hues of pink. Witnessing these graceful creatures in unison is a mesmerizing experience that adds a splash of natural beauty to your journey
- Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:Lake Nakuru National to Lake Naivasha
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and departure to L. Naivasha (approximately 2 hour’s drive), the oasis nestled amidst Kenya’s breathtaking scenery.
- Arrive for a hot lunch and check in at the lodge/budget hotel in Naivasha. Set off for enchanting afternoon boat rides and pleasant walking safaris at Crescent Island (approximately 2-3 hrs. activities)
- Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5:Lake Naivasha-Maasai Mara National Reserve
- Sample the vitality of an early breakfast and check out.
- Drive to Maasai Mara (approximately 5 hrs. from L. Naivasha).
- Arrive at the lodge/camp for a sumptuous lunch and check-in.
- Proceed for an afternoon game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. Be amazed by the Big Five and the diversity of wildlife in their authentic abode.
- Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:Full Day Masai Mara Game Drives
- Start your day with an early breakfast at the camp/lodge, the perfect energy enhancer to set you off on the adventure ahead.
- Proceed to a full day’s game drive with a delicious bush picnic lunch to be relished at a perfect spot in the wild. Spend the day in a lovely coexistence with wildlife and birds. Tick off your bucket list with an experience of the wild from our open-roofed 4×4 vehicle. Arrive at the great Mara River (where the 8th great wildebeest migration happens annually from July to September) untimely quenching your wanderlust.
- Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7:Masai Mara -Nairobi
- Early breakfast and check out.
- This day there is an optional nature walk with Maasai Moran along the park boundaries and visit Maasai cultural village (Manyatta).
- Depart to Nairobi with a stop over lunch at a tastefully selected restaurant.
- Drop off at your hotel or airport.
