Day 1:Arrival in Arusha and Overnight Stay in Lake Manyara
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will be greeted by your driver/guide and transferred to Arusha.
- After a short rest and briefing in Arusha, depart for Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 2-3 hours drive).
- Enter Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and tree-climbing lions. Marvel at the thousands of flamingoes lining the lake’s edge and spot over 300 migratory bird species, including long-crested eagles. The park also offers stunning views of the Rift Valley escarpment.
- Check into your lodge or tented camp near Lake Manyara. Relax and enjoy dinner.
- Enjoy an overnight stay at your lodge/camp in Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
- Arise for an early breakfast, and depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 4-5 hours drive). Enjoy the scenic view of the Ngorongoro Crater along the way.
- Arrive in the Serengeti and start exploring this vast ecosystem known for its dense wildlife population and the Great Migration.
- Continue game driving in the Serengeti. Witness herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, and keep an eye out for predators like lions and cheetahs.
- Check into your lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti. Relax and enjoy a meal under the African sky.
- Have an overnight stay at your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti National Park.
Day 3:Full Day in Serengeti National Park
- Start your day with an early morning optional but very interesting hot air balloon safari at dawn (advance booking required). And experience the breathtaking views of the Mara plains and wildlife from above.
- Enjoy a champagne bush breakfast after the hot air balloon ride.
- Enjoy a full day of exciting game drives in Serengeti starting with an early morning game drive with your guide.
- Witness the Great Migration as vast herds move in search of fresh grazing. (seasonal).
- Continue exploring the Serengeti, known for its abundance of wildlife including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo).
- Visit different regions of the park to maximize wildlife sightings.
- Return to your lodge or tented camp. Enjoy dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures.
- An overnight stay at your lodge/tented camp in Serengeti National Park.
Day 4:Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
- After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 3-4 hours drive).
- Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to a dense concentration of wildlife.
- Descend into the crater for a game drive. Explore the crater floor’s diverse habitats, looking for lions, leopards, rare black rhinos, elephants, and more. Enjoy the sight of flamingoes at Lake Magadi within the crater.
- Visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind”.
- Check into your lodge or camp on the crater rim. Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner.
- Enjoy an overnight stay at your lodge or camp on the Ngorongoro Crater rim.
Day 5:Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park
- Arise for an early morning breakfast, and depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2-3 hours drive).
- Along the way, enjoy the scenic landscapes of Manyara Region in Tanzania giving the full feel of East Africa Safaris.
- Arrive at Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.
- Embark on a game drive through Tarangire. Looking out for the elephant herds, buffalo, lions, leopards, and the amazingly colorful birdlife, with over 500 species including the majestic ostriches and the Southern Yellow-billed hornbills.
- Check into your lodge or tented camp within the park. Enjoy a sundowner while reflecting on the day’s sightings.
- Enjoy an overnight stay at your preferred lodge or tented camp in Tarangire National Park.
Day 6:Tarangire to Arusha and Departure
- Start the day with an early morning game drive after a heavy breakfast, capturing the sunrise over the vast Amboseli plains and photographing wildlife in the golden light.
- Encounter lions, hornbills, and other iconic animals like common elephant herds and the occasional leopards in their natural habitat.
- Depart Tarangire for Arusha (approx. 2-3 hours drive).
- Arrive in Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you can be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight or spend an additional night in Arusha.
Optional (Extend your trip with a beach holiday in Zanzibar or additional cultural tours with fly high agency.)
